The IT Factor

“You’ve got it. And I don’t even know what it is, but you got it.”

One movie I’ve always enjoyed watching is School of Rock.

In the “Best Comedic” Award Winning film for its year, actor Jack Black said to one of the students - while hosting band auditions in his substitute class - “You’ve got it… And I don’t even know what it is, but you got it.”

We all have an IT factor.

It’s something that separates us from everyone else. We all were created unique, have different personas, interests - likes/dislikes. We’re all on different walks in life and come from diverse backgrounds.

Did you know your IT factor is something you can use to connect with your audience?

First, you need to identify what IT is. You have something; you just need to find IT is. Maybe you have a story to tell, an experience you can share or perhaps just let your personality takeover.

Next, you need to effectively share IT with the audience. Once you get onstage, your IT factor needs to shine through. Using your IT factor onstage is all about seizing the moment and pouring yourself into what you’re doing. At the end of the day, what you do doesn’t matter as much as who you are.

If you haven’t already, work on discovering your IT factor. The truth is, we all have something to offer - even if it’s only 5 loaves and 2 fish. You were created special and for a specific purpose. You have SOMETHING you can share and you’ve been given a stage and voice to do just that.

Are you interested in diving deeper into these areas for YOUR show? I’d love to get to know you and learn about your journey in music! Let’s schedule a FREE discovery call today!
